I can't believe it. I just don't fucking believe this. Today when I opened Mozilla Thunderbird to check my e-mail, it prompted me to set up an e-mail account (completely forgetting the fact that I had already configured the program when I set it up on my computer.) I cautiously re-filled my information in their little setup wizard and the program opened. I saw, for a brief moment, the correct number of e-mails that I remember being in my inbox and trash appearing right there on the screen in front of me. I SWEAR THEY WERE THERE. I SAW THEM WITH MY BLEARY, SLEEP-DEPRIVED EYES. I'm not sure what happened next. Suddenly, **POOF** all my e-mail disappeared along with my folders, sent items, EVERYTHING. GONE. EVERY FUCKING E-MAIL from the last week has vanished, including all the e-mails that I had asked people to write to replace all of the e-mail messages which went AWOL the first time Mozilla Thunderbird decided to bugger me. WHY DID ALL MY E-MAIL VANISH THIS TIME? I checked the Thunderbird application data sub-folder in the Administrator folder. There's still....stuff in the folder. What happened to all my messages? WHY Aren't they showing up?

Sorry, I'm going to have to pull out the jumbo capslock for this next part. Cover your ears...

*deep breath*

WHY, MOZILLA THUNDERBIRD? WHY ARE YOU SO DETERMINED TO MAKE MY LIFE INTO A PAIN-FILLED, LOVECRAFTIAN NIGHTMARE FROM WHICH THERE IS NO WAKING?

If there's anyone out there who can help me: PLEASE, tell me where my e-mail messages might have gone. (The only thing I can think of that might have led to what happened today was that I copied the Thunderbird Application Data Folder into one of my external harddrives. --That's it. I copied it. I didn't move it or ANYTHING.)

In the meantime--until I get some answers or some kind of closure or ANYTHING--I've downloaded Eudora 7.1 and have installed it to my computer. (Something I should have done DAYS ago.) I've configured it to receive all my future e-mail and am waiting with baited breath for the moment when I can recover all my lost data from Mozilla Thunderbitch and purge that unholy lesion on Satan's ASS from my computer forever.

Oh, and..if everyone out there could just re-re-re-re-resend me your e-mail addresses and your most recent e-mail messages, I would appreciate it. Thanks. -___-
