Okay. The United States Postal service has just risen to the top of My Personal Shit List along with www.verycoolthings.com. The latter saying they shipped out my long awaited doll-making book to me and the former saying that they delivered it to me yesterday at 10 in the morning. Now, my memory isn't good enough to know what I was doing at ten in the morning on 5/16, but I'm reliably sure that I wasn't having any packages delivered to me at that time. (On the offhand chance that I fell asleep and sleptwalk through the whole thing, I looked around my apartment and found no book. It's not here, ERGO, I didn't get it.) And since I didn't find out about this fiasco until today when I checked the tracking number for the book on the USPS website, I'm going to have to wait until MONDAY---when the local post office again opens their window-- to sort this damn thing out.

I'm shaking with rage. Seriously, I know I shouldn't be getting bent out of shape about this, but I've been waiting THREE MONTHS for this book, I spent a lot of money on it, and in the end I'm probably going to wind up with nothing. (USPS and Verycoolthings will probably both say that they lived up to their end of the bargain--and have the evidence and tracking numbers to prove it-- and I'll be stuck holding a big empty bag.)

Sigh.
