(Actually, I can't believe that I forgot to mention this, being the mercenary little hustler that I am...)

I have two items up for sale on ebay:

http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZaa_chanQQhtZ-1

One of them is my Black Widow costume (your chance to own an original dress made by me for just the cost of materials) and the other is my Paine Alchemist Gun (that a girl ordered from me and never picked up or finished paying for. I have resolved that if this gun does not sell THIS time around, I am going to drag it into the golf course near my apartment building and smash it with a baseball bat a la the copy machine scene from Office Space. (Because I'm sick of this THING laying around, taking up my valuable space and taunting me. I have trouble believing in the inherent goodness of people with that abundant blob of evidence to the contrary blighting my daily life...)

SO SOMEONE PLEASE BUY IT AND TAKE IT AWAY!!! PLEASE!!!!!

Okay, I'm finished ranting for now. I'm writing in to say that I've just posted a couple of things for sale on ebay. (One of them is for my friend Jared. It's a WACOM Tablet which he let me try on my computer. Unfortunately, it has a serial port and serial-ported WACOM tablets aren't supported by most versions of Windows XP 64, as I learned. But if you have an older computer and would like to pick up a graphics tablet really cheap, please click on the link above. (It makes a nice TV tray or artist's sketch pad, or place to store your Evangelion capsule figures, if nothing else...)

The next thing I'm selling is my fancy schmancy Gothic Victorian-Style EGA Dress. I've only worn it once (well, twice if you count the Minneapolis Anime Society Halloween Party where it won me a package of Doraemon-esque character chocolates.) I hate to get rid of it, but I need room in my closet, and I have yet another round of financially crippling dentalwork to pay for. (What I'm asking for this costume won't even scratch the surface of what I need for it, but every little bit helps.)

I have an ongoing project in progress-- I'm taking the 300 or so dollars worth of screentones that I bought way back when I had these things commonly referred to as "a day job" and "disposable income," and am scanning them into my computer. I've scanned them in at 300 dpi (which is a good printer's resultion,) and have made copies of all the tone images resized down to 100 dpi (which is a good resolution for webcomics). The 100 dpi versions I've posted in an online folder located here:

http://www.amethyst-angel.com/screentones/

I'm still adding tones as the days go by. (I'm only about 1/2 of the way through my collection.) If you're doing a print comic and would like to request a 300 dpi version of the tones, please let me know which ones you want big versions of and I'll send them to you.

(And no, don't ask me how to use them. There are plenty of online tutorials which cover comic inking and computer screen-toning. Try http://www.polykarbon.com/ first...)

I'm doing some more fooling around with paper mache. I don't think I'll be able to do much with it, because it's so fragile and because it takes SO MUCH WORK to look good, but we'll see what happens...
